Drogba Splashes Rings On Ex-Chelsea Mates To Mark Memorable Champions League Win (Photos)

For emerging champions of Europe last season and despite the fact that the feat couldn’t be repeated again this time around, former Chelsea forward, Didier Drogba, returned to London to see his ex-team mates – and he did it in style as he gave each one of them a ring to commemorate their Champions League victory last season.

The Ivory Coast international, who currently plies his trade with Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua, held an event at the Wyndham Hotel in Chelsea Harbour on the night of Thursday, December 6th and welcomed the likes of embattled skipper John Terry, Ashley Cole, David Luiz, Branislav Ivanovic and Daniel Sturridge among others.
“I am very proud of what the club achieved that night and wanted to give something to the team so we can all look back and remember that moment,” said Drogba.

The rings, thought to be worth over £800,000, were specially designed with each player’s name and shirt number and decorated with diamonds and sapphires.
