Ladies, Wearing High Heels Will Damage Your Feet, Knees And Back.

Modern ladies love to wear high heel fashionable shoes to make themselves look cool and trendy, but they neglect this simple but serious fact that it can be damaging to their health in the long run.
As shown in the picture in image section below, wearing high heels goes against the normal structure of your feet and exerts pressure on your leg finger bones. This in turn exerts extra pressure on your ankle, calf, knees and back as well. Prolonged wearing of such high heel shoes will cause long term damage to these body parts and can lead to serious problems like:
  • Aching feet
  • Ankle injuries
  • Posture issues
  • Joint degeneration
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Muscle shortening
  • Muscle stiffnes
  • Bunions, i.e bony growths at the base of big toe.
Wearing high heels over a period of time not only drastically reduced the flexibility of women's feet, but also made them less efficient in flat-shoed activities like running. And women wearing high heels generally have a tendency to walk slowly, which in turn hampers their walking styles and much needed physical exercise.
Therefore, it is always better to wear flat, light and flexible footwear for long term health. Sacrificing health as well as comfort for the sake of fashion is not a good idea. It is a common sense that higher the heels of a woman's wear, the greater would be the risk of her damage, as mentioned above. If you are a fashion freek, you can consider wearing cute pair of flats or non-heeled boots, both at work and social gatherings. And if you cannot help but wear high heels, it is a good idea to at least regulate your wearing habits, like flat shoes for work, and high heels for occasional parties and social gatherings. Women who are compelled to wear high heels frequently must do stretching exercises regularly, like standing on a step with toes, making the heels drop down. This may reduce the damage to a certain extent.
