You can actually pin-point the second this little boy’s heart shatters into a thousand pieces and his world crumbles around him.
The mascot breaks ranks before the Argentina v Bosnia World Cup game to greet his hero Lionel Messi with a handshake.
But, to the boy’s disbelief, Messi leaves him hanging.
He stands frozen for a couple of seconds with his arm extended.
After realising the snub, the boy retreats back to the line of mascots.
