When you're Kim Kardashian-level famous, you get lots of money and admiration — but there's also a chance you get nearly mowed down by a stranger while getting out of your car.
In the video (below) Kim Kardashian is tackled by an onlooker while exiting a car with Kanye West and Kris Jenner at Paris Fashion Week. She was nearly knocked to the ground before her security stepped in.
The tackler may have been infamous Ukrainian "prankster" Vitalii Sediuk, who grossly spends his time assaulting people on the red carpet. He's taken credit for the incident, as he has for ambushing celebrities like Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Bradley Cooper. He's also tried to kiss Will Smith and jumped underneath America Ferrera's dress. This July, he told the Hollywood Reporter he was sorry for his pranks and he was leaving the U.S., but clearly his assaults have continued overseas.
Sure, we all like clicking on photos of beautiful celebrities on the red carpet. But when getting out of a car requires risking your physical safety, maybe it's time for the paparazzi (and invasive "pranksters" who are actually criminals) to take a few steps back.
Update, 1:55 p.m. The Hollywood Reporter has posted another interview with Sediuk that refers to him as "a Paris-based aspiring model," which probably means he is indeed in Paris. He claimed in that interview that his "pranking" days were behind him. "Lady Gaga was at the Istanbul airport at the same time as me, and I didn't do any pranks!" he said. Seems that was a lie.
