Celine Dion has paid tribute to her "courageous" husband, the singer's former mentor whom she met aged 12, after he died following a 20 year battle with cancer.
The pair met when Celine Dion's singing career was in its infancy and Angelil become her mentor, having predicted she would become a world star.
But the manager/singer relationship later blossomed into romance and the pair become husband and wife in 1994.
She famously called a halt to her musical career in 1999, at the height of her sucess, upon learning that her husband had cancer - but returned to the music industry in 2002.

In a recent concert she played home videos on a projector screen on the stage which featured Angelil, while singing he First Time I Ever I Saw Your Face.
A post on the singer's official Facebook page confirmed the news on Thursday, saying: "It is with deep sadness that we announce that Rene Angelil, aged 73, died this morning at his residence in Las Vegas after a long and courageous fight against cancer."
"The family wishes to mourn in private. Other information will be provided to you in the next few days.
Mr Angelil had been fighting cancer for nearly 20 years and passed away just shy of his 74th birthday, prompting his wife to send a letter to fans
