The Shepard of Celestial Church of Christ,Genesis model parish, Israel Oladele Ogundipe said most pastors in Pentecostal churches are marketers. If you want to know a true pastor, let them take all of us to the bush.He noted that the opulent lifestyles of some so called men of God is appalling and not according to the command of God. “When i see a true pastor i know and when i see a marketer it will be glaring”, he said.
Ogundipe made this speech at the Excel 2016 programme organised by CCC Genesis cathedral in conjunction with Abimbola Esther Ajayi of Love of Christ Generation Church,UK. The event took place on Sunday September 11 at Grand Ball room of Oriental Hotel,Lekki. He admonished those who are confusing preaching the gospel with marketing of themselves for the accumulation of worldly riches.
Ogundipe was full of praises for men of God such as Pastor E.A Adeboye of Redeemed Christian Church of God and some others who has contributed so much to the spread of the gospel. Lanre Teriba,George Sax, Lara George and other gospel musicians added excitement to the event with their performance.
